Who is responsible

Perispli is an independent publication created and operated by Pablo García-Amorena, who is responsible for the processing described here. For privacy questions or requests, contact pablo.garcia@perispli.com.

Technical server data

When your browser requests a page, the web server temporarily records standard technical information such as the IP address, request time, requested page, response status, referring page when supplied, and browser information. These logs are used only to deliver and secure the site and diagnose technical problems. They are retained for up to 14 days and then removed through automatic rotation.

Aggregate readership statistics

Once a day, Perispli derives limited statistics from its server log: estimated visitor and page-view totals, broad traffic classifications, popular pages, referring domains and visitor countries. IP addresses and browser identifiers are used only in memory while that calculation runs and are not saved in the statistics. Country lookup takes place locally on the server. The retained figures are aggregate counts and are not used to create visitor profiles.

Language preference

If you choose English or Spanish, the site saves that choice in your browser's local storage so it can open the corresponding language on a later visit. The preference remains on your device and is not an analytics cookie. You can remove it by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Email

If you contact Perispli, your email address, message and any information you choose to provide are processed in order to reply. Correspondence is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to answer the inquiry and maintain appropriate records.

Service providers and disclosure

Perispli uses a hosting provider to make the site available and secure its infrastructure. It uses no advertising networks, third-party analytics services or social-media tracking plugins. Readers' personal data is not sold or rented. Information may be disclosed when required by law or when necessary to protect the site and its users.

Your choices and rights

You may ask whether Perispli holds personal data about you and request its correction or deletion, subject to applicable law. Because the readership statistics contain no visitor identifiers, they cannot be connected to an individual. You may also prevent the language choice from being remembered by clearing local site data in your browser.

This policy may be updated if the site or its data practices change. The date above identifies the current version.
